Spider-Man: Brand New Day has been granted a UA 13+ certificate in India after the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) approved the film with several edits ahead of its theatrical release.
According to a CBFC certificate dated July 23, the Marvel film has a final approved runtime of 144 minutes and 52 seconds (2 hours, 24 minutes and 52 seconds).
The English-language 3D version with English subtitles received clearance after complying with the board`s required modifications.
The CBFC instructed the filmmakers to include a statutory anti-liquor disclaimer.
It also ordered the removal or muting of certain obscene words from both the audio and subtitles at three points in the film.
Additionally, two kissing scenes, appearing at approximately the 44-minute and 57-minute marks, were removed.
The visual edits amount to a total of eight seconds, while the muted dialogue does not alter the overall runtime.
With the revisions in place, the film has been certified UA 13+, allowing viewers under the age of 13 to watch it under parental guidance.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is the 38th instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the fourth MCU Spider-Man film.
The movie features Tom Holland in the lead role alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon and Jon Bernthal.
The film is scheduled to open in Indian cinemas on July 30, one day before its worldwide release.
